SoraStats exists to keep the public Sora era understandable after the original app and web experience are gone.
The important distinction is this: OpenAI's export path is for creators to save their own files. SoraStats is for public discovery, ranking, and context.
We do not describe private infrastructure, internal collection methods, commercial terms, storage details, or non-public user data. This article only explains what anyone can see on the public product.
1. Archived video discovery
The most immediate post-shutdown question is simple: where can people watch old Sora videos?
SoraStats answers that with public video surfaces:

This matters because a video without its creator is less useful for fans, journalists, researchers, and future creators studying what worked.

What we do not disclose
We do not publish internal acquisition workflows, storage architecture, private ranking experiments, cost structure, private user information, or any non-public partner details.
That boundary is intentional. The public value is the archive. The private details are not needed for users to understand the product.
