The important date
OpenAI's Help Center says the Sora web and app experiences will be discontinued on April 26, 2026. It also recommends exporting Sora content before discontinuation. If a final export window is offered later, OpenAI says users will be notified by email.
Creators should not wait for a possible later window.
Save the work and the context
There are two kinds of Sora history worth saving.
The first is your own creative work: videos, images, prompts, drafts, files, and notes. Export those directly from OpenAI where available.
